You should have been there! Hanover. Ya, like who thought they would have a Timmys, Canadian Tire, Crabby Joes, Wal Mart & some modern brick businesses & nice homes too! And people! Yup, people that were very friendly & welcoming. We were surprised. We want to go back.

Back to Golden Tiger Boxing Club, hosting another event. The event of Saturday May 23, at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 130, was terrific. The crowd was good. They really enjoyed the entertainment watching their hometown guys really fighting hard to win the audiences approval.

The night opened with your host Derek Charbonneau featuring his boxer robert Andonian in the 140 lbs division against Lakeview from Goderich Alex Vodden. Good match for these young puglists.

The second bout really awoke anyone in the crowd when Golden Tigers Nathan Harris at 132 met Loyalist from Bellevilles Eric Fletcher. The crowd now got into the fight scene when these two gladiators laid it on the line.

The third bout had Loyalist, Belleville Jesse LeRiche in the 130 lbs division against Old Schools Jade Walsh from Hamiton.
Jade uses the ring well as Jesse tried to cut off the ring but Jade is quick & hits while he moves. Another day.

The fourth bout had newcomer Patrick Newbigging from Golden Tiger in the Masters Division, 190lbs against Londons Barry Clearver from Boomerz. This was an interesting bout to watch the Masters. This bout absolutely tired out the game boxers.

The fifth bout featured Patrick Newbiggings son, Bobby Newbigging in his 148 lbs match against Boomerz in London, Tristan Tufts. Bobby is no slouch. He has good power & is certainly a crowd pleaser. Tristan was in there showing better form than his prior bout.

The sixth bout had Natalie Grguric from Lakeview in Goderich meeting Heather Stuart from Boomerz in London. This was a closer bout than expected. Good showing from both gals.

The 7th bout had Sean Fraser from Golden Tiger in the 144 lb division against Khalid Godrazi from Boones in Niagara Falls. Both boxers got a little carried away but the referee soon explained his rules.

The 8th bout featured Loyalist from Belleville Jesse Palmer in the 135 lbs division against The Boxing Lofts in Toronto, Kaku Morimoto. Jesse had his hands full & Kaku was busy trying to score with hay makers. Good match guys.

The 9th bout had Golden Tigers James Gies in the 175 lbs division against Boomerz Jeremy Masterson from London. James came out of retirement to show the hometown his skills. Jeremy is no push over.

The Main Event & final event featured Hanovers 210 lb Bobby Sullivan against Niagara Falls, Dylan Krysko representing Boones. Boby was a busy guy but Dylan was also there testing the waters. This fight went one way & then the next. It was all up to the 3rd round & that wasn't predicable. Bobby is a guy that the boxing knowledgeables look at with a lot of interest. We expect great things from Bobby.

Your host Derek had his daughter Kira coaching from the sidelines. She doesn't let up giving directions to all the boxers even though she is 2 feet shorter than a duck & about 4 years old. She is absolutely priceless. The crowd seemed to really appreciate the entertainment. Your referees were Bill Hardy & Brodie Boone. Officials were Shawn Barclay, Sherry Boone & Jon Broom. Another event is being looked at now by Derek. The crowd wants more.
